Advances in Solid and Fluid Mechanics (ASFM) covers research in the various areas of solid and fluid mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on thermodynamics, energy systems, aerodynamics, conventional and smart structures, biomechanics, MEMS, NEMs, vibration, robotics and control.
The journal publishes original research papers, review articles and technical notes with different analytical, mathematical, experimental and numerical methods. The total elapsed time between paper submitting and final decision will be one month. The criteria for acceptance of manuscripts include strong review literature, novelty, significance, conciseness and interest to the readership.
One of the main objectives of the journal is to submit manuscripts that bridge the gaps between research, development and implementation. Papers published in Advances in Solid and Fluid Mechanics (ASFM) may cover a wide range of topics in mechanics, including:
  • The aerodynamics of structures and objects, turbulence, wind loads and structural response,  heat and mass transfer and wind effects on building;
  • Energy conversion, the optimal use of energy sources, analysis of energy and exergy processes, electricity supply and demand, sustainable energy systems, energy in buildings, mitigation of environmental pollutants, renewable energy and optimization of energy.
  • Metals, alloys, composites, new structures, smart structures (FGMs, shape memory alloys, piezo electrics and so on), Nano materials and composites.
  • Static loading, dynamic loading,  creep, relaxation stress, contact, impact and high strain rate loading
  • Linear and nonlinear dynamic and vibration phenomena associated with mechanical, structural, civil, aeronautical, ocean, electrical and control systems.
  • Mathematical modelling, multiphysics simulations, nano/micro-electro-mechanical systems (N/MEMS), sensors, actuators.
  • Robotics, fluidics, optics, bio-mechanical, bio-medical engineering at large and small scales.
